The Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC)

CTC is based in Westborough, MA, and serves as NASAs Northeast Regional Technology Transfer Center (RTTC), covering the six New England States, plus New York and New Jersey. A non-profit company with satellite offices, CTC acts as a gateway for the transfer of NASA and other federal technology to private industry. CTC is one of six RTTCs comprising a nationwide network devoted to the common mission of assisting American industry to improve its worldwide competitiveness through the acquisition and commercialization of new technologies.

With electronic access to over half a billion documents and combined with staff knowledge of federal laboratory capabilities, CTCs Technical Information Center can find the new technology or technical expertise your company is seeking. Services also include patent searches and market research.
How to Get Started
Initial meetings to explore a client companys needs and other services that require a few hours of applied time are typically provided at no charge. If a client engagement involves significant resource application, CTC would submit a project proposal stating the services to be provided and billing rates. Rates vary depending upon the compatibility of the proposed project with CTCs federally funded programs. In certain instances, CTC will accept potential revenue such as success fees, or percentages of royalty income.
