Kelly McManus
Director, Research

Ms. Kelly McManus is the Director of Research at the Center for Technology Commercialization, Inc. (CTC) and is responsible for the functional operations of the CTC Technical Information Center.  Ms. McManus has extensive market and business research skills from industry-wide to product- or company-specific inquiries.  She provides market research, competitive intelligence gathering, report preparation, internal research support, and information management.  Ms. McManus also provides research and data collection in a broad array of technology and market areas for industry and government clients. 

Previous to her work with CTC, Ms. McManus was the Corporate Information Resources Librarian at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.  In that position, she marketed the Lamar Soutter Library’s services to regional corporate customers, provided fee-based personalized information services, researched, wrote, and collaboratively submitted grant proposals to fund various outreach projects, such as The Worcester Area HIV/AIDS Information Network.  Ms. McManus also developed and instructed classes on searching biomedical databases, and designed and taught a curriculum for third year medical students on utilizing electronic resources to solve clinical problems, and to effectively communicate results to patients and physicians.

Ms. McManus received her MS in Library and Information Science in 1998 from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and has a BA in Media/Communications from Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
